Secret Moon is a progressive folk singer/songwriter duo featuring haunting vocals and virtuosic fingerstyle guitar. Their themes are distinctly spiritual in nature, nimbly shifting scales and style with deep introspective lyrics - at once ecstatic, lyrical and theatrical.
Led by Joel Beauchamp (Canada) and Yin Ling (Singapore), the duo met and birthed in Ubud, Bali while playing in adjacent sound-healing Pyramids.
Multi-instrumentalist Joel Beauchamp brings more than 2 decades of experience in the punk and metal scene, an intimate study of Indian classical music and a eclectic and encyclopedic knowledge of music theory and music creation in general.
Vocalist Yin Ling offers one of the most evocative and distinctive vocal deliveries of her generation, compared to Kate Bush, Bjork and Joni Mitchell.
Described as 'System of a Down meets the Cranberries turns folk with a jazz band', Secret Moon's sound is mystical, spiritual, contemplative, evocative and intelligent.
They hope to move and touch audiences and transmit the beauty of life and it's experiences.
They have played in Akasha New Earth Haven, Cities of Wellbeing Festival and launched their EP Debut to a sold-out 200 person crowd at PARQ Ubud.
